I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
